DETAILS
Area of application
EKORENOV is an all-substrate water-based two-component polyurethane finishing resin (excluding floors), odourless, of matt, satin or gloss aspect, environment-friendly and user-friendly. This resin is more particularly intended for renovating indoor walls (solicited), furniture (sanitary, kitchen), concrete, glass fibre, rigid PVC, tiling, natural wood or painted wood, beams, cladding, machine tools (industry).
EKORENOV is highly aesthetic, has a perfectly smooth film and can be tinted in a CIMCOLOR tinting machine.
EKORENOV has an anti-corrosion principle allowing you to paint metal, an adhesion promoter allowing it maximum adherence on many substrates without a primer (suitable prepared).
EKORENOV can be used indoors and outdoors.
For all other substrates: ask Cimentol Paints for advice on info@cimentol.fr
Procedure
1. Preparation of the background
EKORENOV is applied to many bare or painted substrates. Roughen the surfaces by sanding, degrease and rinse.
Application on dry, sound and coherent substrate. On an excessively closed substrate, apply WATPRIM primer to provide an even better guarantee of durability.
EKORENOV is a finishing lacquer, all drafts and dust should be avoided in order to obtained a perfect finish.
2. Use of EKORENOV
EKORENOV is a two-component resin. Mix part A with part B with a small spatula until a perfectly homogeneous mixture is obtained (about 5 mn), making sure to scrape the edges and the bottom.
Apply with a dense foam roller, spalter brush or low-pressure gun. Small defects can be smoothed out after with the brush.
For better resistance, apply a second coat 24H later.
3. Recommendations for use
- Do not apply on silicone and plastic.
- Use quality equipment for application.
- Use of several pots: do not mix at the same time
- Stake out your substrate well in order to avoid reworking.
- Making a partial mixture of the base and of the hardener is highly recommended. This can result in rapid degradation of the hardener in contact with air and moisture.
- On a work surface or a surface subjected to mechanical aggression, it is highly advised that you cover it with the varnish
Precautions for use
- Safety/hygiene: non-flammable; keep out of the reach of children.
- Comply with the instructions on the labels and safety sheets.
- Usual reserves: indirect contact. Ventilate during and after application. Do not use in a confined area. Wear suitable protective equipment.
Standard NF P 74 – 201 and 2, ref. DTU 59.1 “paintwork” defines the professional rules for preparing substrates. It is the responsibility of the applicator to ensure compliance with these rules, because they are engaging their liability.
